Here is a portrait of my sister. She was also the subject in the image Subterranean Blues. I’m continuing to work with the challenging medium of watercolor. Why do I like it? The loose quality it has appeals to me. I also enjoy the unexpected results that occur. Sometimes they are great and sometimes you have to think on your toes to find a fix or take it in a new direction.
Here’s a background page template I’ve been working on for Kwamba Productions. It will be in an educational DVD for training people about client led micro-finance. I’ve done free-lance work for Kwamba on a few projects over the years, such the Tent Cities Toolkit and the Spanish Educación Financiera: Su Dinero y Su Futuro. Which is a series of videos for the Mexican banking community to enhance financial education and literacy among low-income Mexican citizens. It’s part of the Global Financial Education Program Curriculum series educational DVD template that is being worked on now.

Here is my take on the theme adrift. I was thinking about the paintings of Gustav Klimt. Medicine and Flowing Water particularly came to mind.
Here’s a new sketch I did of Jason and Anika working together on the computer. Again, I drew it, scanned it and did the wash work in photoshop. The original was yet another sacrifice to my efforts at watercolor. I love the digital era though where I’m able to have another shot at working up a drawing.
